Green for Growth and Tickled Pink

This year we will be having a focus on the importance of peer and self assessment. We use a green highlighter for 2 areas of our learning we want to improve on, we call this 'green for growth'. The pink highlighter represents an area of our work we are proud of, we call this 'tickled pink'.

As a class we have co-constructed a success criteria that outlines what a quality piece of handwriting looks like. From there students assess themselves based on this criteria.

Here is an example of what quality writing looks like!

Welcome to Room 7!

Room 7 students have created an amazing piece of collaborative art! They each had a puzzle piece to complete. Children had to work as a team to ensure colours flowed and symmetry was evident. This  is a symbol of all our students coming together, making new friends and supporting one another with our learning. This collaborative art piece will be up for the year to represent our unity. Students then decided as a class what our expectations and values will be.

  • We treat others how we would like to be treated
  • We listen when others are speaking
  • We never give up on challenging tasks
  • We try our hardest with our learning
  • We only walk in our classroom
  • We treat our classroom equipment with care and respect
